Small group webinar: Managing food allergy and anaphylaxis with Jen

Participate in a free webinar that provides fundamental information for managing food allergy and anaphylaxis. The “Foundation in food allergy – what you need to know about managing food allergy and anaphylaxis” sessions are geared towards parents of children who have been recently diagnosed with a food allergy. It’s also a great session for others who are interested in this topic, or would like a refresher.
The webinars are limited to a maximum of 4 participants per session to allow for a more intimate setting where everyone will have an opportunity to interact with the group and ask questions.

- What is the webinar about: Building a solid foundation to understanding the facts around food allergy and how to manage daily life. Topics include basic information about food allergy, risk reduction, symptom recognition, and emergency management.
- Who is presenting: Jen Weber, who has four children, two of them have food allergies. Her oldest child (10) has an allergy to tree nuts and peanuts, and her second child (8) is allergic to multiple foods including tree nuts, peanuts, egg, milk, soy, some fin fish, shellfish and some legumes. Jen has been trained as a parent mentor to deliver information in the community on managing food allergy and anaphylaxis. To attend a session with a parent mentor who has children with peanut and tree nut allergies, check out Sarah MacKinnon’s sessions. You’ll find the name of each parent mentor in the event title. - When is the webinar: Webinar sessions run 2x/week and are 90 minutes long to allow for more interaction and questions. Click on the registration link to pick ONE date/time that work for you. If the session you select is full, please go back to the registration page to select another date/time.
- Who should attend: This session is geared towards parents/guardians of children who have been newly diagnosed with food allergies.
