Teachers and Students: Do you want to raise awareness about food allergies while helping families in your community and entering to win prizes for your school? If so, check out the Allergy Friendly Food Drive Challenge for Schools!

Spearheaded by racecar driver Alex Tagliani, this initiative helps local food banks while educating about food allergies. Through this joint initiative, undertaken by Alex and Food Allergy Canada, with the support of Pfizer Canada (Canadian distributor of EpiPen®), Alex hopes to reach Canadians from coast-to-coast.

Helping families and educating communities
Many low-income families rely on food banks at the end of the month and other times of need. But families with food allergies can’t always find the foods they need at their local food bank.

The Allergy Friendly Food Drive Challenge “raises awareness of the importance of reading food labels and understanding how to identify allergens in common everyday foods,” says Alex. “This is important to people living with food allergies, but also affects families, friends and others in our community that may buy products for them.”

Contest Prizes
With your classroom’s help, the Allergy-Friendly Food Drive Challenge will be collecting allergy-friendly non-perishable food products and donating them to local food banks/charitable organizations. The contest also has an educational component for students, where they learn about label-reading and food allergy awareness.

Your school will have a chance to win our grand prize: 15 Apple iPad Air 2- 16GB tablets and a meet-and-greet with Alex Tagliani!
