May is Food Allergy Awareness Month in Canada and there are many virtual activities and programs we have planned this month to increase awareness and education of food allergy.
Food allergy is one of the leading causes of potentially life-threatening anaphylactic reactions and a public health concern in Canada, especially among children. Over 2 million Canadians are affected by food allergy, and 1-in-2 Canadians know someone with a food allergy, indicating the broader impact of this condition on families across the country. As there is no way of predicting how severe an allergic reaction may be and no known cure for food allergy, avoiding the allergenic food is required to prevent a reaction.

Our social campaign this year is called #FactsAndHacks where we note a fact based on research and a food allergy hack that goes along with it.
It’s a fun campaign with the goal of increasing awareness while educating at the same time.
Help spread the word and share!
Our conference has been cancelled, but the learning and inspiration has not!
Participate in the many sessions in May that have been adapted to virtual experiences – for you and your kids!
Learn how you can get involved – from painting a nail teal, taking a photo of a monument lit in teal, sharing our fun videos, and participating in one of our online sessions.
