FoodAllergyFuture Challenge: Innovation contest for youth ages 12-21

Calling youth ages 12-21! We want to hear your big idea on how you can make a better #FoodAllergyFuture. Inspire us with your creative idea on how you can use innovation to improve the lives of those living with food allergy. The grand prize value is $3,250!

Deadline for submissions is April 15, 2020. Get started today!


February 16 in Victoria, BC: Skate for Food Allergies

Get your skates ready. BC Children’s Hospital is hosting their 2nd Skate for Food Allergies fundraiser in support of their Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) Research Program.

Skate for Food Allergies 2020

Highlights include:

  • Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL hockey team) game at 1:00 pm
  • Open Skate with the players from the Victoria Grizzlies at 4:00 pm
  • OIT Q&A session with allergist Dr. Cameron at 5:15 pm
  • Raffle prizes and 50/50 draw

Webinar: Managing food allergy and anaphylaxis

Get your questions on managing food allergy and anaphylaxis answered while connecting with others! Attend one of our free 90-minute interactive webinars led by a trained parent mentor. You’ll learn fundamental information about daily management and living confidently with food allergy and anaphylaxis.

These sessions are geared towards parents of children who have been recently diagnosed with a food allergy.

Small Group webinar series

Following the session, you’ll be able to answer:

  • What is food allergy and anaphylaxis
  • How to avoid a reaction
  • What are the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
  • What to do in an emergency
