Winnipeg: What’s New at the Children’s Allergy and Asthma Education Centre

June 5, 2016

CAAEC The Children’s Allergy and Asthma Education Centre (CAAEC) at the Children’s Hospital HSC in Winnipeg is a hub of education and support for families living with asthma and food allergy.  The CAAEC provides education programs for families, children and teens with asthma and food allergy. Here is some of what’s new at CAAEC this summer.

Food Allergy Information for Grandparents
This evening seminar on June 23 is led by pediatric allergist Dr. A. Becker. It provides information for grandparents of children with food allergies in an informal and open environment. For information, please call Nancy at 204-787-2353 or email caec@hsc.mb.ca

New Asthma Video
Check out the CAAEC Youtube Channel to help keep asthma in control. Their latest video uses a cute animated story to talk to children and teens about controlling their asthma, focusing on the need to pay attention to asthma every day. Watch the video on the CAAEC YouTube channel.

Food Allergy Education Classes
The CAAEC is also offering sessions for parents of children under 7 years of age diagnosed with food allergy.  The next session will run Saturdays, June 4 & 11. Register and learn more.

The CAAEC regularly offers courses for parents, children and teens. To see the full schedule, see the online calendar.
