Over 3 million Canadians are impacted by food allergy, including 600,000 children.
Food allergy is a life-changing diagnosis, and when parents first learn of it, they require relevant information to understand the condition and practical ways to live with it.
With limited access to allergists and wait times ranging from months to years, individuals and families need ongoing support on how to live safely with food allergy right from the point of diagnosis.
We’ve increased the confidence on managing food allergy in thousands of families and youth by empowering them through small-group mentorship and educational programs and resources, like webinars with medical experts, and content-rich handbooks.
Yet more than 25,000 new food allergy diagnoses are made every year, and the number of allergists is still limited.
We need your help to ensure every newly diagnosed family gets access to credible information and that children, youth and adults receive ongoing education and support during life transitions.
Help us ensure no one is left behind.
