Thank you for #ShiningATealLight on Halloween

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Halloween more inclusive for kids with food allergy by #ShiningATealLight

By lighting up your porch, displaying one of our posters, attending a teal lighting, handing out allergy-friendly and/or non-food treats, fundraising with our glow-in-the-dark bracelets and sharing our resources, you positively impacted kids with food allergy across Canada. Thanks for being a #FoodAllergyChampion

Read below to find out how one family showcased the campaign in their community by raising awareness with #ShineATealLight bracelets and how our media vendors helped us reach millions!

Special thanks to #FoodAllergyChampions Lisa and Binh I-T for raising food allergy awareness this Halloween!

Lisa and Binh of Etobicoke, Ontario purchased 150 of our #ShineATealLight bracelets to share with others. Their son OliverLeo, who has multiple food allergies, provided his class, along with other friends and family with the glow-in-the-dark bracelets.

During a Halloween event at their local school, Lisa helped raise awareness of food allergy amongst students, parents/guardians, school staff, and the broader community! She handed out teal bracelets and our resources, including posters, stickers, and more, and also raised funds for our organization.

Lisa said, “I was happy to take the opportunity to inform others of food allergy, which affects my family, many individuals and families that we know, and our community.”

Thank you Lisa and Binh for driving food allergy awareness!

Check out some photos from our community below, including a few from Lisa and Binh!

Make an impact on Giving Tuesday – December 3rd

On December 3rd, you can participate in Giving Tuesday, a global movement dedicated to supporting charities through giving.

Do good stuff

Did you know? Your generous contributions allow us to provide educational programming, advocate for change, and provide life-changing support for the over 3 million Canadians impacted by food allergy.

Check out our latest Impact Report and watch our video to learn how we have transformed the way food allergy is managed for more than two decades to help you and your families live safely and confidently with food allergy.

From our advocacy work to ensure the food allergy community is represented with government and industry (like foodservice and with the National Food Allergy Action Plan), to building community support and knowledge for the condition through our programming and campaigns (like with our public campaigns and our All About Food Allergy student program), to creating resources in multiple languages to ensure accessibility, your donations make our important work possible.

Discover the different ways you can give to our charity and plan your giving. With your support, we can make a real impact.
