We are seeking educators for grades 4-6 in Alberta, Ontario, and New Brunswick for a pilot opportunity on food allergy and anaphylaxis education during May (Food Allergy Awareness Month).
Pilot opportunity in May during Food Allergy Awareness Month
“All about food allergy” is a free medically-reviewed and curriculum-linked program designed to develop the knowledge and skills students need to support the health and well-being of self and others.
With this program, students will learn what happens to their body if they have a food allergy, what triggers anaphylaxis, how to be a good citizen and build inclusion, and much more.
To ensure this program delivers the highest quality resources and meets the needs of educators across the country, we are looking for educators to pilot the new resources with their grades 4-6 students during the month of May – which is also Food Allergy Awareness Month. Register now.
What is required for the pilot?
Educators who participate in the pilot are expected to teach the full program, which includes:
- Four modules that are approximately 30 minutes in length
- Activities to support the modules, including pre/post assessments
You will also be expected to complete a short online survey to provide your feedback. Educators must teach the pilot resources by June 3rd, 2022.
BONUS: Win $250 for your class!
To thank you for your time and support, you can win a $250 VISA gift card for your class. When you register for the pilot, you will automatically be entered into the draw to win one of two available gift cards.
Register before April 30th, 2022 and you will receive an EXTRA ballot – doubling your chances of being selected!
