Sean Delaney was a husband, father, brother and friend. He was also a successful businessman and a founding partner of Genuity Capital Markets. Sean had a quick wit and an outlandish sense of humour. He was the life of the party. On February 2, 2007, Sean died from an allergic reaction to peanuts while on a hunting trip to Mexico. He was 40 years old.
To honour Sean’s memory and to raise awareness about food allergies, the Annual Sean Delaney Memorial Golf Classic takes place each May in Aurora, Ontario. The event has raised over $3.3 million in support of Food Allergy Canada’s projects and partners.
This year’s event will take place at Magna Golf Club on Monday, May 16th, 2016. This event promises to be a spectacular day of golf, dinner, and a live auction. All funds will be donated to Food Allergy Canada to fund research and awareness projects, including the important work of allergists Dr. Susan Waserman and Dr. Manel Jordana at McMaster University’s Integrated Research Programme.
